Do Redbubble Stickers Stay on Water Bottles & Hydro Flasks? (How I Personalized My Water Bottle & Hydro Flask & Tested Redbubble’s High-Quality, Durable, Water-Resistant Vinyl Stickers)

Redbubble claims that their stickers are made from durable, water-resistant vinyl.

Can the stickers get wet?

So, for this post, I decided I wanted to test if you can actually stick your favorite Redbubble stickers on your water bottle without:

1. ruining the stickers,
2. ruining your water bottles,
3. or having your stickers peel off and looking like a mess.

For this test, I got a cheap, plastic water bottle and one of those popular hydro flasks (Amazon). I decided to test if Redbubble stickers would stick to my water bottles for at least several months (I’ll want new sticker designs by then anyway).

I stuck all three types of Redbubble stickers, which included their original matte stickers and the new transparent and glossy stickers, on my hydro flask and a generic plastic water bottle.

So what happened after 7 months of using my hydro flask and water bottle? Keep reading to find out!

Please Note: Redbubble says their stickers are not dishwasher safe so I hand-washed the bottles 2-4 times a week.

How Long Did the Redbubble Stickers Last on My Water Bottles?

After 7 months of hand-washing my hydro flask and my other no-name water bottle, the stickers are still stuck on there real good!

They still stuck extremely well even with a lot of condensation on my cheap water bottle! So, even though they might not be 100% waterproof, they’re definitely made from high-quality water-resistant vinyl.

Once, I put both my hydro flask and water bottle completely underwater for over 30 minutes and it still didn’t ruin the stickers at all.

After 7 months, there was no peeling or curling of the stickers whatsoever. The images also stayed sharp and the colors were still vibrant. They look just like the first day I got them. I’m extremely impressed!

Do Redbubble Stickers Come Off of Water Bottles & Hydro Flasks?

One of my biggest concerns was if the stickers would actually come off my water bottle and hydro flask after having them on there for 7 months.

The answer?

Yes, the stickers do come off water bottles but only if you want them to come off.

You actually have to peel them off yourself (they won’t just fall off). The best part is that you can peel them off in one piece and you can stick them on parchment paper to reuse the sticker again later.

Overview: Are Redbubble Stickers Good for Water Bottles?

Redbubble’s vinyl stickers stay amazingly well on water bottles and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

They’re durable, reusable, water-resistant, and super unique. What’s not to love?

But which Redbubble stickers are best when it comes to sticking them on water bottles? Should you choose matte, transparent or glossy stickers?

A few years ago, Redbubble used to only have matte stickers that had 1/8th of an inch white border around each design. So, I often ended up cutting the white borders off my stickers. Plus, I find the matte stickers had a “vintage” look to them.

But now they have new transparent stickers that I just love for my water bottles! They still have 1/8th of an inch border, but it’s transparent!

And, sometimes when I do want a white border (some designs are just best with a border, like when the stick is only text), then I’ll pick the glossy stickers. I find that both the transparent and glossy stickers are more contemporary looking than the matte stickers.

Another great thing about transparent and glossy stickers is that they’re often the best choice when you want to put stickers on anything made with glass or plastic because they have a sheen to them.
